Anchorage Golf Club is a public course and ranked No. 1 in Alaska by Golfweek Magazine. The course was constructed in 1987 and enjoys the most play of all the courses in Alaska.
Our work on behalf of the club focuses on improving conditions and preparing the course to host a major event. Both the City of Anchorage and the State of Alaska are committed to bringing a major golf event to the State of Alaska. So far, Alaska remains the only U.S. state to not have hosted a major tournament of any tour, the PGA or USGA.
A comprehensive master plan has been developed for the course. Elements include changes to the 18-hole course with respect to features, greens and tees; expanded practice areas; a new putting course; kids course; event staging areas; and an upgraded and expanded clubhouse. Forrest Richardson & Associates has brought each of these enhancements together into a "big picture" plan that has enabled the City and State to begin budgeting the effort.
