Bunkers Book Now In Bookstores (1-5-06)

Bunkers, Pits & Other Hazards , the first golf architecture title to be published about golf course hazards in nearly 100 years, is now available through booksellers. The first book devoted to golf course hazards, Hazards, was written by Aleck Bauer in 1913.

"Our idea was to write an authoritative history and account of golf hazards," said co-author Forrest Richardson. Together with Mark K. Fine, Richardson has given the golf course enthusiast a must-have book. Chapters cover the early formation of hazards on linksland, early golf hole design, famous hazards and the steps associated with maintaining, restoring and preserving hazards.

The 302-page book is case bound with a 32-page color insert. The publisher is John Wiley & Sons, North America's oldest book publisher.
